Uncle Sam says, "If it's too loud, you might be too old!

Many toys collected at The Toys for Tots Dance on 11/15/24, thanks to all that donated. Those attending were treated to terrific sounds by the band “Full Volume”, that included guitarist Paul Esposito, who when not “jamming” out tunes serves as the Mayor of Oakbrook Terrace.

Team Fred Roder and crew put together a night of food, libations, dancing and LOUD classic Rock! Not to mention cash donations and bags of toys for the toy drive.

Navy Recruits at Post 2801 on Thanksgiving Day

On Thanksgiving Day Post 2801 hosted 50 Navy Basic Training Recruits from Great Lakes Naval Base. First Responders with their equipment shining awaited the bus as it pulled in, and along with our members, auxiliary, and local residents provided a very warm welcome on a brisk Thanksgiving morning.

The recruits were treated to breakfast treats and at mid-day a traditional Thanksgiving Dinner………then time for some football on tv with use of laptop computers and cell phones to connect with home. Overall, a great day for these wonderful new members of our military family.
